DoubleJ the YJ Uses an Gynormous exit deflector (not a nozzle like Berks etc) and if anything else is adapted to it eg a place diverter the reduction in outlet size will kill the performance the best bet for you is to find the OEM YJ trim (no obsolete) The original Jacuzzi applications use a OMC type electric pump , I may have a used one around (not sure) Tom, A/T’s energizer kit for the Jacuzzi YJ or Golden Eagle low pressure, axial flow pump, converts the YJ to a much more efficient mixed flow pump. This conversion will increase your pump’s performance by approximately 20%. A/T parts are more available and are cheaper than other Jacuzzi parts.
12/8/2007 · Hy I used to install jacuzzi jet back in the 80’s .The 12yj worked great with small block ford 302 and 351windsors .I had one in a 20ft. larson with a 351 that I tricked up with 302cam and 69heads and carter carb .my fuel milage was great and the power 7 in the boat and three sking with no problems.Mating a 460 with that pump you will eat a pile of gas and have the same speed as a 351.
